Compensating Chain

The elevator compensation chain (rope) is used to connect the elevator car and counterweight, balance the weight of the traction rope and accompanying cable, and balance the operation of the elevator.
During the operation of the elevator, the length of the wire rope on the car side and the counterweight side is constantly changing, which causes the weight of the wire rope on both sides of the traction wheel to change. When the car is at the lowest floor station, most of the weight of the wire rope acts on the car side; when the car is at the highest floor station, most of the weight of the wire rope acts on the counterweight side. This change has little effect on the operating performance of the elevator when the elevator lifting height is not large, but when the lifting exceeds a certain height, it will seriously affect the stability of the elevator operation and endanger the safety of passengers. For this reason, when the elevator lifting height exceeds a certain height, a component with a certain weight must be set to balance the weight change caused by the height change. This is the elevator balance compensation chain.

3. Are our elevators safe? -How to prevent falling and hitting the top
1). All our safety components are with CE and EAC certification;
2). When the elevator falls faster than 1.15 times the rated speed, the speed governor and tension device will activate the lifting rod of the safety gear, which can stop the further fall by braking the guide rail;
3). When the upward speed exceeds 1.15 times the rated speed, the control cabinet will send a signal to the traction machine, and the traction machine will brake, so that the traction machine will stop going up.
